Cecilia’s Smocked Ensemble

With lots of excitement, I post this sweet ensemble, created by my friend, Lynn, for her granddaughter, Cecilia.

Lynn said she used a number of patterns and resources to create this ensemble.  For the top, she used a smock plate from an Australian Smocking & Embroidery magazine combined with a McCall’s pattern in size 7.  The skirt pattern is “Vivienne” by Violet Fields Threads.

I have always loved the combination of blue and white and embroidered stitches on pleats.  There were lots of expressions of admiration over this ensemble at my home.
