Smocked Baby Dress and Bubble

When Patty, from Golden Valley, Minnesota, was informed she could soon expect a new baby in the family, she began working on this sweet baby dress. The pattern is from Australian Smocking & Embroidery magazine, Issue 82. It is one of her first smocking projects. The dress also includes lace joining, pin tucks, bullion embroidered roses, and shadow work embroidery. The fabric is 100 percent cotton heirloom batiste.

She also created this smocked baby bubble from a pattern in Australian Smocking & Embroidery magazine, Issue 76. It is made of 100 percent cotton pique.
